Need advice please for upcoming October vacation

Hi Everyone,
We have been to LV over 20 times but have never gone the beginning of October. Can anyone give me some pointers on what to pack for the weather and are the pools still open? Also, is it appropriate to still wear white slacks in October. Any help would be appreciated.
October and November are my two favorite months for LV. Outside temps are comfortable for walking, you may see some rain but not the cold wind like in winter and spring. I will arrive Oct. 13th and will bring a light jacket for a Mt Charleston visit, it's twenty degrees cooler then the Strip. There may be a cool enough morning to wear it for my dawn walk and of course ladies should always carry something with sleeves for the cold casinos.

Most major properties keep at least one pool open all year now, check with your destination.

There doesn't seem to be appropriate dress codes in Vegas. White slacks and your red sequined top will make quite an entrance.
Always need a sweater or hoodie in a casino anyways- brisk is how I would label the weather both in mornings and evening..
pants, not shorts.

Agree about the hoodie. Either wearing, or around my waist.

I never wear white anything in Vegas. Too hard to stay clean.
Think about all the different places you are, or chairs you are sitting.....
Casinos, restaurants, rental cars, drinks spill, etc.

I wear only Black pants in Vegas, all year long.

Vegas is still warm in early October. The average daily high for October 10 is 84F, with an overnight average low of 59F.

Pools are open in early October.
I think everyone here hit it right. Warm days (I remember swimming at Venetian on an October visit...and I don't swim unless it's warm)and cool evenings. Layers are best and you'll always be comfortable.

October in Vegas love it. Think lighter clothes for the day and a sweater for the eves. I've never been cold in shorts in October. I still wear my sandals to.
Mid October is when I usually go. I've seen 100+ once, but most of the times high 80's during the day, low 60's at night. For me (who is always hot) it's t-shirt/shorts weather, even at night. I'm a last minute packer so I go on to weather.com about 2 days before the trip, do a 10 day scan of Las Vegas and pack what I think I need.
Gail,
Check the forecast on weather.com the day before you are leaving. That will tell you the forecast highs and lows for your trip.
Don't sweat the fashion police in Las Vegas.
If you wanna wear white after Labor Day, do it!
Nobody cares.
