How does one find a Will Lawyer?
Yellow pages?
Refreral via friends?
Local?

Your thoughts..?
I just picked up an EZ MetLife, Charlie Brown 'WILL'...filled it out,
got it notarized...next hooked up with the 'Neptue Society' for that
big encore event and hey!...........I'M READY TO GO!

YOU on the other hand, might want to arrange with Tennis_Bum (after you're not available..) to
rent a helcopter...mix up 1 parts ahses/3parts gitter...fly over you know where and sprinkle
kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty ALLLLLLL OVER LAS VEGAS!

Maybe you should try going through your local State Bar Association.

JM, I wish you a long and happy life but while your doing this "Necessary Evil" paper work, you just might put me down for your CD collection

Use someone local in your town or neighborhood.

It may be hard to get someone to notarize a do-it-yourself will. Check on that first - at your bank or other resources before you buy the software.

Your best bet is to talk to local friends and family and see who they used and whether they were happy with the lawyer's work. The next best option is to contact your state's bar association and ask for a few names. It is important that you chose a lawyer who will listen to what you want and fully explain your options.
While you are at it, get a living will as well.
Many , many thanks for all your opinions and options..

Rocky, I would feel happy to Will my CD's 2 U - think they are going the way of the 8 track..lol
Now we just pluck music from the Net!

Don't stop giving advice here if you got anything to say on this matter.. I can never learn enough!
Ask an old rich guy who he uses.

As the executor of a will all I can say is... when you think you have everything clear..... it's not. I've tried VERY hard to do what I thought my father wanted. I don't know how to advise you. My best advice would be to have a frank conversation with your heir/s... let them know your wishes.... put it in writing.... and hope that they will abide by your wishes.

Example: My husband and I were managing my Dad's Vanguard funds. My Dad and I were both on the account. When he died the funds were mine because I was on the account. However, I knew that he wanted that money split between me and his life partner. Against the advise of the estate lawyer, I made sure she had half of the funds in that account.

It's an example of how he thought he was making sure everything was the way he wanted, but wasn't.
