Minimal occumpancy. Get your reservations in WAY advance.Buffets? Yeah, right.
Eggs benedict: breakfast.
We've only been to the Aquarius in Laughlin and they're not adhering to the 25% occupancy. We don't go there anymore since the resurgence of covid. Has anyone been to a casino that seems to be adhering to the 25% occupancy rule? I can't think of any way they could enforce that in the casinos. The hotels, restaurants and bars can, but the casinos??? Are they shutting down 75% of their machines? Are they limiting the table players to 25% of the seating? What about the wandering hordes just checking out a casino? You have to wonder how much transmission is occuring in casinos. I'm talking about how many local and out of state patrons are bringing covid home with them? Since there is no way to contact trace that, Sisolak needs to get a reality check. Reality is that smokers are probably spreading covid. Reality is those keeping their masks down while nursing a drink are probably spreading covid. Reality is that there is no way to guarantee social distancing inside a casino and that is cotributing to the spread of covid. I realize that the casino revenu stream is all you've got, but you could lessen covid transmission by instituting some enforceable common sense rules!
I've solved the baffling conundrum of how to best organize a Vegas visit during these challenging times and cope with all the restrictions:
Don't go. Effin' stay home. You know, what the experts are pleading with us to do.
I think you would really have to have a serious Vegas jones to contemplate going there now. It's a LOT less fun than it would normally be, and there aren't even all that many bargains, which amazes me. Plus, you have to ride in an infection tube, I mean airplane, to get there.
I don't have access to the LVRJ, but I'm sure Sisolak is being barbecued for this, especially since the casinos own the local media (like Adelson owning a majority stake in the LVRJ). Fortunately for Vegas, Sisolak has no fealty to Trump. He'll do what he feels is right, even if that causes economic pain.
Wife and I went over Thanksgiving for 6 nights. This is our second trip this year and both times we were tested before going, and were tested after returning. We've fortunately tested negative all times. We wore masks, used hand sanitizer, and socially distanced. This is our experience and others' results may vary.
This is the first time I've ever tried the El Isle eggnog, and it is as tasty as others have said!!
