Will the name McCarren disappear completely or will they just have new names for the terminals, i.e. the Goldwater Terminal at Sky Harbor. ... Frank Kush Field at Sun Devil Stadium. ... Coach Jim Brock Field at ASU Packard Stadium?
The idea is for Las Vegas' airport to no longer be called McCarran International Airport. Because, from a city marketing standpoint, visitors have no idea who McCarran was and therefore have another opportunity to become confused.
In the real world, I don't think this confusion impacts the Vegas economy much, but I'm sure it has at least a teeny, tiny, almost imperceptible impact.
