New Strip Mega-Resort will not have a casino

Were you there in the morning? I've stayed several times at South Point, which has a very nice workout facility, and it was always crowded when I went there at 9:00 or so to work off my breakfast buffet.

I agree that the vast majority of Vegas visitors go there in order to destroy their bodies, minds, and souls, but I still think a non-casino hotel geared toward healthy living would gain traction.

Wow.  I can't wait to get to the airport two hours early, fly to Vegas in a crowded plane, not gamble, stay in a non-comped room, and get to eat health food with purified water for every day of my stay.  Sign me up.

Hey Kevin, looks like you woke up another trumper.lol.

Well, he's using Trumper logic. He's saying that if you stayed in such a hotel, you wouldn't gamble at all--- presumably, there would be a force field preventing you from visiting any of Vegas' 100 or so casinos---and you'd be forced to eat "health food" (how terrible!!!!!), with that same force field preventing you from visiting any restaurants outside the hotel.

And news flash for our boy: non-comped rooms are cheaper than comped rooms. You don't get those comped rooms for nothing--you have to lose considerably more than the value of the room to get the comp. (And yes, of course, I know that you don't have to lose per se, but you have to give the casino action whereby you could expect to lose anywhere from twice to five times the room's normal cost.)

This hotel sounds like it will cater to the convention crowd, who can't stand the thought of being in Vegas, but have to.
