New Years eve weekend

Will be there staying with friends.Wwhat are the best choices for gambling? What is better downtown or strip to bring the new year?

Ok, I will start!

1st of all, my opinion of gambing that week end is that its awful! You did not specify what type of gambling that you like but basically everytime I have been to Las Vegas including 2008/2009(worst economy ever!) it is just so crowded that its difficult to even get on a table or machine. All table minimums go up(way up in some cases)

#2 Anything that you ask me about vegas, you will see that I am always predjudice in favor of Fremont street over the strip when I give answers, so keep that in mind.
With that said...........Fremont Street, new years eve is a freaking BLAST!
I would stay far away from both Fremont St and the Strip as they are absolutely JAM PACKED that weekend. Forget about dining out anywhere in either location- you'll likely need to make reservations for Subway

I probably would not gamble anywhere in Vegas that weekend but if I had to it would be as far away from the crowds as possible...I'm thinking the Cannery on Craig Rd, Sante Fe Station, or Aliante Station.
A couple years ago, I stayed at Paris and the crowds were not that bad. It was busy, but not as crazy busy as people imply. I never do well at Paris's casino and that was a given. I won a little playing at Caesars and Aria, broke even playing low level penny slots at MGM and lost around $100 at GVR.
