Non Smoking Property

Just curious on everyones thoughts. I know its a big subject but I think if one property on the strip, a smaller one like TI or Cosmo, were to go completely non smoking it would be a big hit. It would be nice to know there would some place where you could sit down and play and not have to move every time a smoker sits next to you. Nothing against smokers they have every right to play anywhere they want, i always move.I know I would stay there. thoughts?
I agree! I hate it when I've found a great spot with no smokers nearby and someone sits down and lights up. I live in St. Louis and prefer to go across the Mississippi to play at the Casino Queen in Illinois. I'm a low roller so I know my vote doesn't count for much. The Harrah's here has a large non-smoking area for slots but the non-smoking tables are only open on the week-ends. Smokers have the right to play anywhere they want but so should I.
I agree. Some casinos just pay lip service to non-smokers. We recently went to Horseshoe Hammond to get our 25 tier credits for the Harrah's Great Rewards game. My wife is sensitive to the smoke. Every VP game we tried to play involved a smoker nearby. Finally we went to the large non-smoking area and guess what - We could find no VP in the non-smoking area. That is pretty ridiculous.
We have a large Indian casino here,Tulsa, that has a nonsmoking area, they have limited games and it is in the far back corner of the casino so you have to walk through the clouds of smoke to get to it, lol, but at least they try.

Every casino should be 75 percent smoke-free, when at least 75 percent of people do not smoke. Smokers have the right to smoke and I should have the right to gamble smoke-free, it is a no-brainer!!!!!!! Las Vegas is behind the times!
Hey Now!

I play a bunch in AC - all the joints are supposed to be 75% NS. never works!
Revel is totally NS. They are struggling... I think it would work in Vegas, I would be there!
All casino's in Illinois are smoke free. Eventually, smoking will be banned in all public places. Las Vegas will be the last place to comply.
I don't smoke. I would still move around, smoking and non-smoking machines.

I'm bothered by smoking more at tables than at machiens, but non-smoking tables are few, and I still move around. I think the ventilation is improved in many places.
I agree the venalation has improved in the nicer properties but i still can't figure out why, in a nearly empty casino a smoker must plop down next to me....again, i always just move but still drives me nuts.
I remember a casino called Silver City - it was across the street from the Stardust. They went no-smoking back in the early 90's (I think) and it was usually a ghost town in there. I think they were in trouble before the smoking ban, but they didn't last too long after.
