Non Smoking Property

Congrats, Linda. Silver City often has been brought up here as an exemplar why non-smoking is a non-starter. You're about the only one I remember who acknowledged that there were mitigating circumstances going in that made it a foregone conclusion. If one of the mainstream casinos went smoke-out, and I mean totally, the place would do well, indeed.

I agree that I would favor a ns casino,k but only if the gambling was good. If their vp paytables sucked and their bj was all 6:5, no way in the world would I play there.

The Caesars Windsor is Full NS and I think it's great! The smokers all go out on a fully covered and heated (during the winter) area and it over looks the river...smoke with a view=win win

We have a tribal casino in the Seattle suburbs where there are two casinos side by side. One is smoking, the other is non-smoking. They have separate entrances. Both areas offer slots and table games but no reasonable VP. Restaurants and the Poker room are non-smoking as well. But, the kicker here is that the non-smoking always has more people playing. The big boys should take notice.

BC has banned smoking in bars, restaurants and casinos. All the owners were up in arms that they would be driven out of business - didn't happen. They are still busy.

Ohio is totally non-smoking and the casinos are packed. The smokers go outside where they can't kill anyone but themselves.

I can understand a casino not wanting to go no-smoking - it always seems as though smokers outnumber non-smokers. But when it was enforced by law here it was an even playing field for everyone. Now the pubs and casinos like it - for one thing it costs a lot less to keep the places clean. As someone who smoked 50 a day for over 30 years I can sympathize with the smokers. But since I quit cold turkey over 15 years ago I sympathize more with non-smokers who have to put up with the smoke. If any smoker wants to know more about quitting cold turkey - let me know. I'll gladly share what worked for me.
