Rick has been having physical problems the last couple years and has not been in the best of health. He had lost his job in 2008 and things have just went downhill from there.
We have been coming out to Vegas the past ten years in January for a couple weeks. Each year the trip has gotten longer and longer. The first trip was the normal 4 day, get a taste and then must return trip. Truthfully, after the first trip I didn't think I cared if I ever came back. I had gotten sick the first night and was miserable the rest of the trip. The second year we decided we would try one last time to see if we liked it. Now we want to come out for the winters and the trips get longer each year.
This year was iffy on if we could even come out at all. The stars aligned, karma,and anything else we need to add hit us in December. We could finally make the decision on a trip. We are coming out from Jan 16-Feb 8. Not all of our time will be in Vegas, we will be spending time with my sister and her husband in Phoenix. The Vegas portion is something that we have been waiting on all year we love it here. The last two years my parents have come with us but this year they decided to go to my sisters before Christmas. They will be going home when we come out.
So far we are set up at the IP for 10 nights, most free but 3 nights for 20 a night. Ip isn't the Ritz but for us the location can't be beat. From there we are just going to wing it.. Rick doesn't want to commit to anything and just wants to be flexible, with the coupon book I hope that works out for us.
We are so anxious to get out into the nice weather. We want to see if that will help Rick's health issues.
