One thing you cannot wait to do

I agree, I love seeing the strip as we are landing. knowing the fun starts.
I can't think of one exact thing that I just can't wait to do in Vegas. It's just the entire experience. I love knowing that I can drink as much as I want (my husband does the driving), eat as much as I want, go to sleep whenever I want and get up whenever I want.

I agree with everyone else, that the vacation hasn't officially started until I'm in front of a slot machine with a drink in hand!

Saying that - there are a few things that are on our "must do" list on each trip. They are: margarita brunch on Sunday's at Gardunos inside the Palms, In-N-Out Burger, Ellis Island and Big Elvis at Bill's Gamblin' Hall.

Viva Las Vegas!
Getting my 1st hand pay HAHAHA
Seeing the city layed out before me as I drive down the I15 plateau (nicer view from the north than driving in from the south.)

I don't have any must-dos when I'm in town, but this topic made me think about what I'm going to do when I first hit town (in two days! Yeah!)

I'll skip the routine stuff and get to the hotel. If I'm not feeling well, I'll probably just go up to the room and crash (I'm planning a night arrival). Otherwise I figure to have a rumble in my tummy. Magnolia's seems like a likely stop, for either prime rib or ribs. Maybe something else. Maybe I'll grab a partially comped Binion's Burger instead. Or maybe something else, though that seems unlikely.

What I DO NOT want to do is gamble. Since I've stopped gambling the first night in town, I have been doing well, so after dinner, I figure to wander back to the room and call it a night. I'll probably get up at some reasonable hour - like 3 or 4 AM - and try my luck then.
Definately seeing Vegas from the air as the plane decends. That gets me amped and gives me goose bums every time... Really looking forward to my flight in July that arrivves right at sunset; should be sweet...

But, the thing I look forward to the most is getting in the cab, stopping at AM/PM or the Rebel for Beer and snacks, getting into my hotel room and enjoying a drink, a bite and maybe a shower... Then, where ever the night/day takes me... Never really have too much of a set plan in Vegas

When I'm in Vegas I have three simple rules and don't wear my watch:
1) Eat when you're hungry
2) Sleep when you're tired
3) Drink when you're thirsty

Wow, everyone makes such good points for this post, but I will have to go with that first comped drink. Mainly because that means I have the rental car, eaten at In & Out Burger (Double Double), stopped at the grocery store, checked in, baggage in the room, and the safe deposit box opened. Then I can sit down at either Keno or DDB, relax and enjoy that first drink.

Cheers,
Having the Stickman push the dice to me,picking them up and letting them fly for the first time on every trip.
Looking at the city skyline when we land, and getting that first corona at the VP machine!!!!
I head out about six times a year and when I get two weeks out the adrenaline starts pumping!

Three things are my favorite on arrival day:

1) First Buffet whether Bellagio LVH or Spice Market...I kill one of those within the first two hours of landing!
2) Getting Bellied up to the main bar at GC for my 9/6 JOB and Rey or Selzie throwing me my first Ultra
3) First Good BJ table I spot getting my chips and getting into the Ultra rotation......OHHHHHH those three things!
