One thing you cannot wait to do

Yes, landing at night totally rules. I may never take a morning flight to Vegas again. Pitch black outside the window, then you descend through the clouds and there's the bright lights of the city behind the silouette (sp) of the mountain range.
For my husband and I it is seeing the strip from the plane. That just gets us more excited to land and get on the road. For both of us it is getting the car and driving down the strip is a "we are home" feeling.

Can't wait for the next trip.
For me, it's actually getting off the plane after a long 5 1/2 hour flight and walking down the ramp and into the airport.

There's no greater feeling, because I know that my whole vacation is ahead of me,and everything is now so different.

Look there's slot machines, .......... wow what a cool billboard, ............... Hey it's actually warm out,

...... and I'm finally in Vegas Baby !!!!!

For me it's going to In-n-Out on Tropicana and getting a Double Double with animal style fries!! That's when I know I'm "home".

Our favorite, too is seeing the city as the plane descends.....the next favorite is checking into our hotel - then vacation begins!
Looking for my name on a sign a limo driver is holding. Then seeing the smile on my wife's face as she heads for the Buffalo machines at Binion's.
Thought for awhile - - realized what it was - - and it occurs before I'm even in Nevada.

Made a CD with Frank & Dean - - and one Sammy. As we pull out the driveway to head for the airport, I ALWAYS drop that baby in. It signifies that the adventure is beginning.

I get particularly giddy when "Luck be a Lady" comes up!!
Well, after my husband and I check in, get to our room with a strip view, unpack, my favorite thing is to sit in front of a DDB VP machine with my first drink in one hand, my first cigarette in the other hand. I am a nonsmoker except when I am in Vegas. I have no desire to smoke except when I am gambling. I guess it's just the indulgence thing I love. Can't wait until June 15th for our next drive over trip from southern California!
Landing day or night, turning right onto Las Vegas Blvd., and most of all having a Bloody Mary for breakfast where it's considered a normal meal.
Right now I could be pretty excited about having a lobster omelet at the coffee shop at Bellagio.
