Out of the office

We will be leaving tomorrow afternoon for 2 weeks at Sam's Town. I am not thrilled with the hotel nor its location, but the room rates were good considering our second week overlaps with March Madness and the casino continues to offer FPDW. On our last trip we played enough to upgrade my card to Sapphire so I'll be earning double points for the remainder of 2011.

The weather looks great compared to CT with sunny skies and highs in the low to mid-70's.

I have (6) B-C quality shows scheduled plus a number of lounge acts. Dining will be our usual mix of new and old, ethnic and American restaurants. I expect we will visit the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Garden for the Spring exhibit and probably tour the Cosmo. Otherwise it will be eat, drink, gamble and otherwise be merry.

I haven't packed yet, but I have my modest wardrobe set aside and our gift certificates, coupons etc. organized.

Hopefully I will have a TR posted before month end.

Arrivederci!
Sam's location isn't that bad. It's not far from 93/95, which of course will lead you to where you want to go. The Eastside Can next door used to have some VP available. I stayed there maybe 30 times in the mid to late 90s. A fond memory was to get up in the morning and head to the deli (gone now). I'd get a coffee, a bottle of water and a paper, then head over to the Ram's Head Bar (we dubbed it the Rock Bar), which didn't open until the afternoon. I'd spread out at one of booths and relax reading the paper for the next hour or so. Nice way to start the day.

Good Luck!

You might want to stay parked at Bellagio and walk to Cosmo-- it's right next door.
Plan 2 trips- there really is a lot to see on every floor.
bueno ventura amigo~~~~
I can't wait until I can say the same (not for another 3 long Boston months). Enjoy and please share any interesting lounge acts that you may catch.

Good Luck to you and Mrs. Westie. I'll be watching for your always wonderful TR!

visiting city center after valet parking at p ho works for me. I dont have any experience with valet at cosmo, but i watched the aria car hops run wide open for over a half hour to get my chicken### rental out in the midst of luxe models. I also await your TR. Good Luck!
I wish Team Westie a very safe, fun and profitable trip and I'm very much looking forward to a blow-by-blow information treasure trove filled trip report!

Oh I am soooo jealous, 2 weeks in Vegas! That is the way to do it. You can meander as you like and visit the entire town and the casinos and restaurants that you often think of but run out of time to visit.

Have a great time and try to stay ahead in the gaming.

As one mentioned "valet park" at PHo and walk across the street to Cosmo. Unless the PHO valet has changed drastically avoid at all cost, they are slow than slow getting you in and out. Valet at Bellagio and enjoy!
