Also according to MGM MLife website if you get a MGM Resorts Mastercard (no annual fee) you automatically (within a week or so) are elevated to Pearl Status assuming you have or get a MGM Grand MLife Players card/account (also free). This Pearl MLife status card then entitles you to complimentary self park at any MGM Las Vegas Resort (Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, MGM Grand, NYNY, Monte Carlo, Bellagio. Aria, and Mirage). It also gives you line passes at any MGM Resorts buffets as well as a slightly elevated player's point rate if/while gambling at any MGM Resorts facility (excluding CC).
The only slight downside is that I'm told by some (unverified) that to get the credit card, MGM will perform a "hard" credit rating inquiry on you, which could temporarily reduce your credit score slightly.
