Pawn Stars- line to get in up date

Sorry, I don't get the attraction either. So what if they are on a reality TV show? Is that worth waiting in line for? Not in my book.
This is from the home page on LVA, I must not be the only pone who likes them! weggie

January 3, 2011 Vegas Show Boosts Ratings: According to an article in today's New York Times, the success of reality TV series "Pawn Stars", based around the Gold & Silver pawnbroker in downtown Las Vegas, helped push up History Channel's ratings by 25 percent last year.

We were in Las Vegas 6 times last year and each trip we wanted to stop in and look. Well on our trip in July about 10:30am we driving up towards the Strip and there was no line and we walked right in. The other times we had passed there were taxis dropping people off, taxis waiting for fares, and the lot was full of cars. The line alwasy seemed to was huge and a long wait was in store. There is some neat stuff in there nothing that I think about buying. While we were there a guy had maybe 15/16 knives in a case and he was talking to one of the employees up front about selling them. I over heard the employee tell the guy he could not give him a price he would have to wait until one of the others came in. I heard (maybe not true) that a lot of the stuff that is in the shop is there under consignment. On our Oct/Nov trip we seen Chumley playing in some type of celebrity poker tournment put on by Randy Couture. He acted just like he does on the series. Believe me you just start laughing when he opens his mouth. i really thought the plac ewas much bigger than what it is. i noticed they were adding on to the rear of the building first week of November.

this has got to be the least intelligent insult ive seen on this board and ive seen a lot.

this thread is full of people who went to the pawn shop mentioned in the title and yet you seem to think saying karen went to one will hurt her feelings?

Dude...a pawn shop's where I met yo momma!
What is the addess of this Pawn Shop
716 South Las Vegas Blvd. Going towards Downtown it sits on the right hand side.
In my other life, I am the TV critic of the Philadelphia Inquirer. For a couple of years, "Pawn Stars" was the most popular series on all of cable TV, with more than 5 million a week watching regularly. So it has a warm spot in people's hearts.

And that is because of the characters on the show. They are rarely at the pawn shop anymore, so visitors mostly just get to see the place and maybe buy a cool Chumley T-shirt, like I did. (I also bought my wife a nice black pearl necklace at a decent price.)

There was no line whatsoever when I went there on a hot summer afternoon. For those of you who have an interest in going inside, I would say it's worth about a 20-person, no more. Going early or late might be the play, since the characters are rarely there at anytime.
I did a driveby of the outside, a couple times but the Line was too long.

Turns out I saw Big Hoss & his wife at the airport. So you never know where they'll turn up?
But it might Not be at the pawn shop. lol
