Play TPC Summerlin on 7/25

The TPC properties and MasterCard are doing a series of "member for a day" events at TPC courses.

Play Where the Pros Play

Good track where they hold the Timberlake tourney in the fall. Lotsa risk/reward.
Not a bad price at all. My buddy got me on there a few years ago (actually one of his club's members) and I was in hog heaven after watching so many tournament rounds there. It may not be the toughest course on tour, but it handed me my nutsack. Of course that can be said of most any course I play.

Have a great round. Is this part of the summer buddies trip?

Good Luck!

Guys trip was earlier this month in Scottsdale.

Played Summerlin spring of last year. In a HOWLING wind. How howling? 8th hole, playing about 205, I airmailed a 7 iron. That was the same trip where at SouthShore we all hit driver into the wind on a par 3 and could barely make the front edge and on the next hole three of us nearly reached a 400 yarder. Anyway, this is a good op for players.
How does Summerlin compare with Canyons?

Less canyon. lol

Summerlin's more parkland. Arroyos come into play on several holes, but not to the same degree as at TPC Las Vegas.

P.S. Pete, if you've not been out in a while do yourself a favor and play the Chase at Coyote Springs, way out in BFE northeast of the valley. Wow. It's one of the best Nicklaus designs I've ever played. And with the economy in the shitter ... no houses yet (ever?)! And Mesquite has a great 1-2 punch, finally, with Wolf Creek at the new Conestoga Golf Club in Sun City.
