That really sucks!
That article said some stupid, stupid things, apparently to justify this scumbag practice by the casinos. It said that there was a "cost" to keeping a lower-minimum player at the table. Well, what about the cost of driving him away? Is he coming back? Not bloody likely! His business might very well be lost forever. And yeah, a $10 player might be nothing more than pocket lint to Caesars Megatoilet Fancy-Ass Pleasure Palace, but his business is actually worth quite a lot. And he'll go to where his patronage is welcomed and appreciated, not spat upon.
Vegas casinos are turning into assholes!
I totally agree and when this happens to me I color up and leave.
When I color up and leave the table, some other clueless drunk will take my place at the former ten dollar table.Squeezers knows this. So many sheep!
Typical strip BJ rule.I play downtown or off-strip. I wonder how many other casinos will follow suit down there.
I wasn't aware of the term and I dont think I've ever played at a table that raised the limits in the middle of one of my sessions. Probably because I mostly play at low-roller joints.
Regardless of this policy I'd say most strip casinos aren't worthwhile for table players anyway unless you are willing to play at $50/hand. Some of them wont even track your play unless you're playing that much.
