Pros and cons of double booking

I've never done it but I have a trip in February and have multiple offers (I guess that's a good thing). I am thinking of double booking for a couple of the nights and was wondering what the pros and cons of it might be. The double booking is not with properties of the same group so I don't think that will be a problem. Is this a good idea or more trouble than it is worth? Will I get dinged if I don't play enough in one of the properties (which might happen anyway since I wouldn't be staying in one of the them if I single booked)? If anyone has done this let me know how it has worked or what the pros and cons are.

Thanks.
The key is to give full play at both (unless you don't care about future offers).

We double book all the time. We like staying at different properties and getting nice rooms and freeplay.
But I wouldn't do it if I wasn't ready to give my regular play.

Hope this helps
If overlapping a night to take advantage of an offer is worth it, do it.

Playing less at one of the properties may affect future offers but shouldn't affect the current offer. Read the fine print to be sure.
All depends on what the offer gets you and if you can give enough play not to stop future offers.

Pro: If something goes wrong with one reservation (lousy room, etc.), you have an alternate.

Con: All the jumping around to get checked in etc. Not for me.
I love double booking. We can go check out another property or area (ie downtown vs strip) and not have to pack up everything or check out. You also avoid the gap between check out/in times.

I've triple booked a couple of times and dbl book alot. Coming trip I have a Dbl to get a Macy gift card, but found some friends who will use the room.
Never been a big deal about checking out...usually don't bother. And I've been a no show a couple of times at Harrahs with no problem.
Always kept my play at Harrahs to one day for about 2 hours and it hasn't affected the offers.
