Question On Condition Of Roads To LV During Bad Weather

Since I'm hoping to come to LV this Sunday evening (likely), since rain and stuff is supposed to be happening, what is the best way to find out whether there are issues on Interstate 15 from Southern California (like if there's Snow and Chains Required)?

I remember that there was snow so bad several years ago that my friend and his father were stuck at the border (in Primm) for over a day.

Why don't you carry a set of chains, just in case?

I don't think that my friend (who's driving) has them or knows how to put them on. I certainly don't have them. Neither of us ever goes out to Ski resorts or anywhere where snow might be found. I'd rather just check online to see if there's an issue with the snow and then maybe we'd decide if we want to get them.
