I bought a Condo in Mpls. in 2005 and was told since this is a new property etc. the Assoc. dues would remain the same because of no bad debt etc. since them about half of the units have went into default and quit paying there dues long before being forclosed upon by their bank and our " paying " home owners have seen a price increase every year in our Assoc. dues because of this. If I had to do it over again, I would not buy new, but invest in a solvent Condo where this has a lesser of an effect.
