SAHARA Hotel, being sold off, wanna buy something?

https://www.nclsales.com/liquidation-sales/current-sales-sahara-hotel-casino/

That's the link to the Co. selling off the Sahara contents, starting June 16.
Includes pictures of items, dates, times and Entry Fee $10 for first 4 days of sale.

A real craps table has always been on my Christmas list, which is mighty close to a bucket list these days!

I think I have enough cash to to buy one ($3000-??), but flying to vegas and bidding($400/$500) then shipping the darned thing back to New Hamshire ($$$$$) takes tha value out of trying.

If only that Powerball retirement thing would hurry up and happen!
Hey Weggie,

If you really want a real Craps table, as far as I know, such things are actually for sale through the Gambler's General Store in Las Vegas.

And (although I'm not sure if it's applicable to a Craps table) there is a coupon for some kind of discount (I think 10% or 15% off) with a coupon that's in the 2011 American Casino Guide.

Yep, that's alittle bigger souvenier than a shot glass. lol

Would be cool to get one though. Just gotta figure out the shipping.

Would a driving trip, with a truck, fit the bill? Instead of airfare.
Hmmmmm Crunch the numbers weggie.

Can I bid online?

If I win, the I could go into panic mode and figure out how to get the damned thing home
Bet the boys from the Pawn Stars show will definitely be there.
I always thought it would be cool to have a real BJ table from a casino.
I saw one on pawn stars once. Rick and chum went to some guys house and he had one from stardust i think . The guy only wanted a few thou for it and he didn't buy it,i was shocked,i would've done that ib a heartbeat. It had a full rack of checks with it too. I would've bought it and found a way to get it home.

If you want to get a craps table the best way $$$ wise is this:

If you have a personal vehicle with a trailer hitch go to your local u-haul and reant a trailer. It can be covered or uncovered and drive out to Vegas and ppick it up. The advantage is you don't have to pay for packaging and all the fees involved in shipping with a carrier and when you rent a trailer (unlike renting a truck) there is no milage charge with a trailer so the biggest cost is your time and gas. When I had my store and needed to pick up stuff like casino glass (300-500 sheets at a time) it only cost me $80 in gas and $30 for the trailer.

As for buying a blackjack table...I don't want to destroy someones illusion but the cheapest way to get one is to just buy the felt because I have seen the bottom side of a blackjack table and found out that all they have done is stapled the felt to a piece of plywood. The black border is also stapled on and can be purchased from any casino supply company.

I think its water under the bridge by now, but I wonder what the craps tables and BJ tables went for?

bjammin65 = Building your own BJ table would be the cheapest way to get a table, but having one with paperwork saying it was from the Sahara (beer stains and all) is just really extra cool! IMHO

recvplayer = thanks for the gamblers general store suggestion. I did go there once just to browse around just forgot about it. I will check on line
