So I booked a room at the Cosmo

We booked the fancy wraparound suite for two nights and the confirmation email said...

Dear Rice,

It is our pleasure to welcome you to The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Suffice it to say, we've gone to great lengths to make certain your stay is the single-most meaningful, memorable, and thoughtful visit you've ever had to our city. And if this just so happens to be your first trip to The Strip, you've made the right choice.

Whether you're joining us for business, or pleasure, we hope you find inspiration in each of the unique spaces we've created. Our restaurant collection is by all accounts the Strip's most intriguing, which should keep your palate plenty busy while you're here. Our three different pool experiences cater entirely to your mood, albeit completely relaxed, a bit racy, or just plain old thirsty. And our overall commitment to providing you with an individualized experience that is simply unforgettable, will hopefully leave you wanting nothing more than more of the same.

If there's anything you'd like us to handle, please don't hesitate to contact us. Alternatively, if we can be of any assistance whatsoever in making arrangements around Las Vegas, we're equally as happy to take care of it.

Gratefully,

The Staff

Reading that makes me feel like I'm being serviced!

I can't wait for May.
i was there the day after they opened and they had all these staff members all over the place asking if anyone had any questions/needed help/wanted them to take a picture of them in front of (insert whatever i was taking a picture of at the time).

really nice.
Iamrice, congrats. Hope you enjoy your stay.
I, though, feel kind of slighted. When I made (and prepaid) my reservation well over three months ago, all I got was a confirmation number. No e-mail or kiss on the cheek, just a number. You must be special!!!
I'm sure that I am in the minority, but I mistrust the aggressive sucking up displayed by the Cosmo in this thread. My idea of great customer service is (1) have the basics ready, (2) be ready if I need you, and (3) otherwise, get out of my way.

After the STELLAR review of 3 days of Anthonys Questions of the Day and eye witness of my pal CalifLovesVegas-- I belive we have a huge hit on our hands--- I think you've already hit the jackpot, Ian. Just put going there on my schedual for next week.
A MUST SEE
My only warning...........its NOT a place for Children!

Parents, do Not book if you plan to bring the kids, it is Not a KID place.

Very ADULT oriented. Even in the Lobby.........I was shocked to see the giant video monitors
with Happy New Year one moment.........then the next time I saw it?
Had a smokey shower scene with a Nude couple.......then a Naked woman on all fours
crawling along the floor, smiling, and showing all her wares.

THIS WAS LARGE MONITORS IN THE LOBBY, in Full view of Everyone.

This is definately a Hotel/Casino, geared towards "Adults Only".

Naughty videos, huh?

These were not impromptu shots of hotel guests, right?

Gee, this spot may be too adult for me.

I get a little embarrassed seeing things like that.

I'm a Disney-type guy. Wait!! My wife says dizzy not Disney.

"Showing all her wares." You mean Tupperware, right?

Yes, they were Tupperwares! lol

To be honest, it was kind of embarressing to me too. Not the sort of thing you see in a crowded
Lobby.........especially with ALL ages there. It was very crowded, and it was alittle eye popping.
You expect that sort of thing in a strip club, but not in a Hotel Lobby on the big screens Everywhere.

Mind you, there were Tame videos too, like the Happy New Years & Landscapes........
but the soft porn? Ugh. Wrong place, if you ask me.

Other than that, I liked Cosmo alot & certainly worth a visit, at least to check it out.
The architecture & all the shops are quite unique. And the Strip view from the Casino
windows, are gorgeous at night!
Plus it was alot warmer Inside the casino, seeing the views outside, than walking around out there.
I enjoyed the video installation in the lobby. We sat at the
Vesper bar for an hour and checked out the various videos. The amazing outfits on the myriad hookers were much more tittilating than anything on the video pillars.

I think I'm going to like Cosmo. Over opening weekend we visited three times and enjoyed every visit. The bars are all interesting and they have a nice mix of food choices.
