stratosphere tower question

It's been many years since I visited the tower at the Stratosphere, but we are taking a newbie to Vegas with us. I remember the top of the tower being glassed in for viewing. Can you also step outside to walk around??

Yes, all the rides are outside. Buy a meal and go outside for free.

Ir's not really free if you have to buy a meal.

Just tell them you are going to the lounge and take it from there.

Happy hour at the lounge can be quite a view if you can catch the change of Las Vegas from daytime to lights of night.
