t-4 days and I would appreciate some advice

And of all of sudden, here it is. In less than a week we will be leaving for a “long weekend” in Las Vegas.
The primary reason for the trip is to get a voucher for a “free” cruise that the Stratosphere is offering us.
I know that the voucher won’t cover everything and we will likely need to update from an interior cabin, but we like to cruise so will use the voucher. We’ve not cruised with NCL before so any hints or advice gratefully accepted.

Secondary reasons include the normal need to scratch that Vegas itch so we’ll be splitting our time between the Gold Coast and The Stratosphere.

The Strat has made their video poker all but unplayable so I will likely be mostly playing black jack although there was some 7/5 bonus poker with a progressive meter at the sports bar last time I was there. The Gold Coast has all my favorite VP in multiple denominations so we will be doing most of our play there.

I do have around $300 in Harrah’s comps I need to burn up before they expire. I wonder if the Rio seafood buffet would be a good play since we will be at the Gold Coast. Thoughts and recommendations sincerely welcomed.
There's some info on NCL cruises on
this thread, Harrahs forum plus someone bumped an older thread in that forum.

I'd go to Buzios for seafood before going to Rio's seafood buffet.

Thanks Lisa- Buzios look like a better play.
MissL is right on re: the choice between the two...we always make a stop at Buzzio's, sit at the bar and time it up with happy hour for a great night.

We will be following in your footsteps in Sept...we always play the triple play VP right next to the security both across from the show room...we can listen to music, enjoy a cocktail and hunker down for an extended period since the paytables are very good.

Also love the steak room at the GC although we do the same thing...eat at a CET property using our comps and then extended play somewhere where we have a chance to win.

Good luck.

If you enjoy wine, I'm pretty sure you can use your reward credits at the Wine Cellar
Check out cruisecritic.com. Similar to LVA as it has everything about crusies you would ever need. Reviews, boards of info. Tons of info.
Great advice and thank you everyone.

We think of ourselves as "recovering diamond members" with Harrahs. The last vestige of what used to be pretty regular pay with them are these comps I need to use up.

Have you considered the All American bar and grill at the Rio?As I recall, they had some pretty good steaks.
Thanks BBK-

Had not considered All American but I will look into it.
