Texas Hold 'em Bonus tables

I like playing Texas Hold 'em Bonus and noted that the game is disappearing when I was in LV back in September. Does anyone know of places still playing this game?

Are you talking Ultimate Holdem table game?  If so, Southpoint has anywhere from 2-4 every night of the week and $5 minimums.  It is usually packed.

The last 2 places I have seen it was the Link and the Fremont.  Love that game but have not seen the tables open until after 4 pm

Thanks for the info. I was looking for "Texas Hold Em Bonus", which is different from "Ultimate Texas Hold em".

I see that "Ultimate" is pushing out " Bonus ", unfortunately.

That's because "Ultimate's" player decisions have more of an effect on the outcome than "Bonus," and most players don't know the proper strategy, making the Ultimate game a higher house advantage, even though the two games are nominally roughly the same in EV. Furthermore, the Ultimate sucker side bet is considerably worse than the Bonus side bet.

If you're going to play any of these carny games, learn the proper strategy and stick with it. Mike Shackleford's new edition "Gambling 102" is a great book, well worth the price. It'll tell you all you need to know.

The game at the Fremont is my favorite as they still deal it by hand.  No shuffle machine . The table moved from the north side of the pit to the south side close to the cage and 5 dollar BJ table. Usually only open after 4pm

all Texas holdem table games were gone at the freemont last week

Those carny games have a relatively lower hold than other table games, because they're kind of slow. So that definitely sounds like a "We're giving you the Boyd" decision.
