Three Months of INTENSE Planning, and Still . . .

I will likely be up all night getting ready to board my non-stop flight to Vegas tomorrow morning for a very nice and long trip. Is anyone else this nuts when it comes planning for Vegas???

I can't believe I still have so much to do planning-wise. I WILL do carry-on only but still have too much stuff, so I am now trying to be BRUTAL with taking things out of my bag as the packing experts and many of you have said one must do the day before one departs for Mecca. I know I can do this. I just have to be strong. . I know I will thank myself when I'm pulling my luggage down the strip in 100+ degree heat, etc. It is chic to pack light too.

This morning, I spent, unexpectedly, SIX and ONE-HALF HOURS with my dad at the VA. He's fine but has a bunch of ailments though thank goodness nothing life threatening. The staff at the VA were great, ran lots of last-minute tests, etc. But, well, I was supposed to be doing work all day, which I still have to do before I leave, and still pack, and still work on promos, etc., so it's going to be a long night.

But, did I tell you??? I AM GOING TO VEGAS TOMORROW MORNING ON A NON-STOP FLIGHT and with a Southwest Boarding Pass Number of my dreams -- thanks to my new SW A-List status -- to boot! (I did, however, also spend $10 on an early bird purchase. When it comes to Vegas, it's hard to plan too much. )

Talk to 'ya soon and many, many thanks to my fellow LVAers who were so gracious in helping me plan and in answering all of my questions. (I still plan to post my August promo list at some point before I head to the airport.)

May the force be with you and many thanks again!
I nominate FFlowers the new Frugal Gambler!!!
You put that Jean Scott woman to shame - ha ha.
You're researching is relentless, and you gamble at levels that most here, can relate to.
Have an awesome trip, and have fun with Champster, too!!
Thanks so much Djlevin! This evening, while I'm trying to get 48 hours of tasks finished in about ten hours, I'll be "treating" myself every hour or so to a few minutes on the board -- doing my planning up to the last minute! LOL. Your post made me laugh hard and gave me an extra boost of energy, so thanks for that too!

Meant to add that I love Jean and would LOVE to meet her. Meeting her is on my list of hopeful things to be able to do though I know it's unlikely. You never know though!
Whoa, girl. Whoa just a minute. Ike put less thought and planning into D-Day!!!

I have certainly enjoyed the online preamble leading up to your trip. Mine is two weeks away, and I'm getting a bit manic, as well. Although, I think I enjoy the anticipation almost as much as the trip.

Early Bird is great. I would much rather have an A-list boarding pass than ten bucks.

Have fun. Take no prisoners.
We have been enjoying your planning right along with you. Our trip, alas, is not until the 26th however we are also planning to use carry-on luggage only. We are stacking our stuff on a bed in the spare bedroom and it looks like it is more than will fit in our carry-on bags. (someone started a fashion related thread and the number of clothes seemed to expand.......)

Have a great time and keep us informed on how it goes.
Win a bundle!

Paul and Sonya from Iowa
Knock 'em dead in Vegas!
Have a great flight! See you in about 12 days.
FFLOWERS,
my wife and I go every Sept. for a week and I plan all year long. I have a piece of paper i write done every deal on that sounds interesting to us. Then i type up on an itinerary because there's so many deals we want to look into that I can't keep track of them all.

BTW good luck and win a bundle!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys are the best. Seriously. I'm so tired I'm getting a little choked up. Really. (I feel like this is a Hallmark/Vegas moment. )

Thanks so much for the good wishes and for the laughs. I am pooped and can't drink any more coffee or I'll start to get the shakes so all my much-needed energy is coming from you and from thinking about being on a plane to Vegas; 3 hours 'til V-Day. See you soon Mare!
