Hi
I am coming in October to watch the Tropicana implosion. I've been a regular since 1991 and want to cross this off my bucket list. Any advice where the best outside vantage points are would be greatly appreciated

I was there for the Riviera and I really enjoyed it. At that one, a lot of areas were cordoned off and there weren't a lot of choices as to where to stand. But if you do have a choice, I would just avoid being downwind. It can get ugly.
I do not understand the attraction of viewing an implosion....

Did you ever set off fireworks when you were a kid? Now super-size it.
It's not something I would go out of my way to see, especially because I'm not a fan of loud noises or clouds of dust, but hey, to each his own. Maybe you can imagine your ex-wife in a room on the 21st floor, asleep, blissfullly unaware of what's about to happen...
I'm staying near the Silverton as we speak and have a full view of the ruins from the implosion last night. I slept through the whole thing.
