Turning 50 in Vegas!

For the first time, I'm going to be in Vegas for my birthday, and it's the big 50! We're staying at the Mirage, already comped.

Do you know of any casinos that do anything specail on your birthday? I know Valley View in San Diego gives you a shirt, and then specail treatment if you actually wear it. I got a shirt at Pechanga one year as well.

Any 50+ discounts/offers I should look into? I'm all about spending my money on gambling (and maybe shows) and doing everything else on the cheap.

Gold Coast has a contest on the kiosk that lets you win a prize (for me usually been points). Not sure what the biggest prize might be,

Swipe your card at every casino kiosk where there is one, see what offers you have.

And go to players club desk at every casino you visit, and ask.

MGM places used to give some Free Play during your birthday month. Since Mirage is comping you, be sure to check at the Players Club desk after you check in to have any Free Play loaded that came with your offer, PLUS ask if you have BIRTHDAY MONTH FP since it is your birthday month.

Just ask everywhere you play, and everywhere you eat mention that it is your 50th birthday. Often you'll get at least a free appetizer or dessert or something.

As I recall, Four Queens used to give freeplay ($10, I think) on birthdays, but I don't know if that is still the case.

El Cortez usually mails an offer for $50 in free play on your birthday month. Not sure if everyone gets that - I'm a lowly "Saphire" member and get it every year.

Have a great time, I did this and am now doing my next decade in Vegas. Off the top of my head, the ones I know are still active: , Earl of Sandwich free meal by joining the e mail club, Gold Coast is something but it varies swipe to find out, also you are now eligible for Young at Heart promos, Charthouse, join the Landry's club for 25 and get 50 the first year and then 25 every year after, Join the HHAGG e mail club and get a free meal (good for one year), Grimaldis pizza join the e mail club and get a large pizza.

Edited to add I forgot one of my favorite not really bday but 50 club at the M gets you 35% off the spa on Tuesdays YEA.

Plaza Casino in Downtown LV has a Birthday Promotion regarding Freeplay depending on how many points you end up earning first. There is a coupon for this for 2X your age in Freeplay in the LVA MRB, but at least on Plaza's own website it says something about 3X your age in Freeplay. Check their Slot Club for more details.
