UNLV parking? (for concert at Thomas & Mack)

Anybody have any experience with parking at the Thomas & Mack Center at the UNLV for a concert? Connie and I are going to the Rammstein concert there on Saturday, May 21st, and it sounds like there is limited parking available on campus. If you've been to a concert or game there, I'd appreciate whatever knowledge you could pass on aobut your experience in either parking there, or getting to the site some other way. We will have a rental car.

Questions that come to mind are: how far in advance of the starting time should we plan on arriving to get a parking spot? If there are no parking spots available, are there other place nearby that would be good to park at and then walk to the arena?

Thomas and Mack is the arena where UNLV holds its Basketball games. It is also where the National Rodeo Finals are held each year so they have a hugh parking lot. There are spots near the arena on the East side of Swenson and additional parking on the West side of Swenson. You'll have no problem finding a spot.

Pit tix should be great! My wife is only 4'11" tall, so in order for her to be able to see anything, I always get tix on the sides of arenas. Sometimes even then if everyone is standing she can't see anything.
