Vegan Las Vegas

I used to look forward to the food on each trip to Vegas, buffets, Ellis Island's ribs, shrimp cocktails...but I took up a vegan lifestyle almost two years ago and never looked back. I don't miss the meat, the eggs, cheese...yah, I know, hard to believe, but its true.

Any suggestions for vegan eats in Las Vegas. I'm sure I could pick through the buffets and do fine, but that's a little pricey for all veggie and fruit. I'm sure the high end restaurants can adjust and accommodate, but I'm guessing most of the casino eateries would look at me like I had two heads. Am I wrong, or are vegetarian and vegan foods making inroads?
Plenty of vegan options in Vegas! A good starting point with plenty of listings is www.happycow.net
Here are a few favorites of mine, regular stops on every trip:
1. Le Thai on Fremont has the best spicy eggplant I have ever tasted.
2. Ronald's Donuts on Spring Mountain has two shelves of vegan options, including world class apple fritters.
3. Amena Bakery on Decatur near Sahara has a clearly marked vegan menu of Middle Eastern food - the falafel will knock your socks off!
Safe travels and happy eating to you....
Since you mentioned Vegetarian, although this place is not Vegan, I do know a very good Dairy/Vegetarian restaurant (they even have Veggie Burgers) in LV. It's at Huntridge Soda Fountain at Charleston and Maryland Parkway in Downtown LV. It even has a Facebook page and is part of Restaurant.com.

Even Max Jacobson reviewed this place in Vegas Seven Magazine!

Every place in Wynn/Encore has vegan options.

I've had nice veg (I'm not vegan, just veg) in Vegas at,

Sensi - Bellagio
Nobu - Caesars
Yusho - Monte Carlo
Eiffel Tower - Paris

Downtown has Hugo's, Triple George and the places mentioned above.

You can always check when you make a reservation, most places will acomodate.

Vegenation just opened downtown. Has gotten very good reviews so far.
Simply Pure at container park is excellent and has a good salad bar.
Violette's Vegan is on west side. Went once and was underwhelmed.
The Bronze Cafe at the Center has some great Vegan options, the Tree of Life sandwich is top-notch.
Rachel's Kitchen is also a nice, albeit somewhat of a chain, option.

I also want to add that since Vegetarian was also mentioned by the Original Poster, with Kosher Dairy Places, if Cheese is involved, it uses Vegetable Enzymes, not Animal Enzymes.

And so here are (in addition to Huntridge Soda Fountain) the websites of other Kosher Places that have no Meat offerings (although there may be a Fish dish or two offered in each restaurant):

First, Huntridge's website is at:

https://www.facebook.com/HuntridgeDinerKosher.

As for other Kosher Dairy Restaurants plus there is a Kosher Bakery that has Non-Dairy (Pareve) options, here is what's around (at least as far as I know -- if others know more, please post here) in no particular order:

Panini Cafe -- https://www.paninicafelv.com;

Nina's Cafe -- https://www.ninascafelv.com;

Adar Pizza -- https://www.adarpizza.com;

Mia Bakery -- at 2223 Rampart Blvd.

Plus The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (which is in multiple locations around Las Vegas) also has Kosher Baked items, plus packaged Dairy food and some salads as well.

Thanks everyone...looks like I'll be well taken care of.
Veggie House on Spring Mtn Rd serves very good vegetarian Chinese. Groupon currently has an offer.

Simply Pure by Chef Stacey Dougan in the Downtown Container Park. I have not tried it yet, but I did stop
by and saw some dishes she was preparing and they looked mouth watering.

There are loads of vegetarian options at Komol - same plaza as Lotus of Siam.

Almost any Indian restaurant will have many vegetarian options.

Bronze cafe's Tree of Life Pita (4.5 Forks)

I have not been there but many people I Know like Simply Pure at container park. Great rankings of YELP. You might go on YELP and see what you get as well.
