Vegas related movies

Hey Group,

I wanted to give you a heads-up about three movies that are airing on Turner Classic Movies on Friday, February 10th that are Nevada related (with at least one of them directly involved with Las Vegas).

It all starts at 2PM Eastern/11AM Pacific Time with the movie "Meet Me In Las Vegas" (1956). That is followed at 4PM Eastern/1PM Pacific Time by "Mrs. Parkington" (1944) and finally at 6:30PM Eastern/3:30PM Pacific Time by "The Ox-Bow Incident" (1943).

Enjoy!

Ox-Bow Incident is one of the best westerns and a really fine film of any genre. It is in no way about Vegas but I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the heads-up RecVPPlayer
You're very welcome! The "Ox-Bow Incident" does take place in Nevada (although not Las Vegas) in 1885 and that is why I mentioned Nevada-related movies (since Turner Classic Movies made a special note about that) in my earlier posting. I figured that at least some of you people here still might be interested in it.

Meet Me In Las Vegas was filmed in Vegas. After checking imdp.com I remember seeing this OK movie. There are two reasons to watch this C- flick. Cyd Charisse with all of those legs dances to Frankie And Johnny sung by Sammy Davis Jr. Plus there are cameos of Sinatra, Debbie Reynolds and Peter Lorre.

I will tune in.

Fools rush in...
Oh, I just remembered another LV related movie. It's "3,000 Miles To Graceland" which is one of the most violent movies I have ever seen (I had no idea about that until I happened to see the movie on Cable TV).

I can't believe no one has mentioned Rain Man. "Two for good, One for Bad."

Charlie: "You took my queen. I've got a ten. I needed that queen. I can't take it."

Dealer: "Sir, please don't touch the cards."

Charlie: "I need my own queen."

Ray: "There's lots of them."

Charlie: " 'There's lots of them'?"

Ray: "Lots and lots of them."

Charlie: "Hold on here for a second. I'm gonna double down."

Dealer: "Queen. Queen. Queen"

Charlie: "Yes! Yes, sir. You gotta love this town."
What about "Leaving Las Vegas" with Nick Cage and Elizabeth Shue. How about "Corvette Summer", that's a good oldie!!

Hey Group,

Earlier this evening on Turner Classic Movies they aired the Art Carney movie "Harry And Tonto" and I saw that it had a nice scene at Plaza Casino in Downtown LV. Both inside and outside including an incident that caused him to get thrown in jail.
