Dip, you are incorrect and your argument is nonsensical regardless.
1) The "big coupons books" have not been losing value. Here is the data from 2005-2013. The 2014 numbers are Total = $426 and AI= $175. And remember, this is just the gambling value. I don't have the ACG numbers handy, do a search if you are really curious, but the value has also not drastically changed.
2) Even if they were "losing value", which they are not, what does that have to do with Vegas Rover? Since when are these deals mutually exclusive? Many people buy both the LVA and the ACG. And they could certainly add Vegas Rover to the mix if the value is there.
3) Why would I want to buy something that only "gets me my money back in one trip?" I only take one, maybe two trips to Vegas each year. I'm not looking to shell out $50, $100 or $500 for a membership just to break even. There needs to be compelling value, especially at the higher dollar amounts!
As previously stated, I hope the Vegas Rover experiment is successful. But certainly not because I dislike LVA or ACG or love Vegas Rover. VR is doing a few new things and competition and innovation are generally good for the consumer. I will certainly consider adding a Vegas Rover membership to my vegas planning list if the value is there. For me, it isn't there yet.
