Venetian/Palazzo RESCINDING offers that have already been booked!!!...not only recinding them and offering to sell the customer a rack rate room...they're doing it on Super Bowl weekend with only 60 hours notice.
He's making tons of money in China and Singapore so he cares less about Las Vegas. And as previously stated he's making a ton on conventions and trade shows. The only solace is he is old and ill and all that money won't stay the obvious.

I just reconfirmed my 4 night comp reservations for early March. Per Grazie Services, they will call me if my reservation is cancelled.

I was told that they are in the process of evaluating current play for future comps. Big deal, I will just take my business to CE or MGM. At least with CE or MGM, I don't have to worry about my comp reservation being cancelled.

I confirmed my comped room for next week with my host yesterday. I'll be fine. But I obviously won't play with future offers in mind, since I am pretty sure I am not quite the high roller they are really looking for now

I used to get tons of offers from Venetian and couldn't figure out why they suddenly evaporated. Now I know why. The last time I stayed there they ran my credit even though I did not request it. That kind of ticked me off. I don't get to Vegas as often anymore but Wynn is still coming through for me with rooms and some free play so they have my loyalty right now. I know they say don't ever marry yourself to a casino and this is just another example that proves "them" right.
Last year I stayed at Venetian that was paid for by my girlfriends company. I played about $100 in the casino and never went back into it. I was really disappointed in the casino and the players club and instead went next door to Casino Royale for all of my play. The hotel is nice and the rooms are awesome, but certainly not worth trying to get a comp room having to play lousy vp. Glad I didn't even bother with it when I was there. Good luck Shelly (Sheldon) with this new direction. You obviously have proved your point that you don't want me in your casino :-D
I have had comp rooms at V & P as well as paid rooms at the V. I feel really bad that Adelson feels the low lifes that support his casino and are not whales have to go. We had free offers up to last fall but come out usually once a year.

I enjoy the Palazzo and like playing there. I guess I will miss it.
Adelson sees where his bread is buttered at this point and it ain't in Vegas! He probably figures that his occupancy will drop a bit, the rooms will be filled with either conventioners (big rates), or high roller/whales with big bets. Either way he can probably maintain about the same bottom line in Vegas for the same or maybe even less effort. At this point his real concern is in Asia not in past LV customers unless they can really shell out the bucks. As was previously posted, he's a jerk! Maybe Steve Wynn isn't wrong.

Good Luck!
