Very disturbing thing we saw/ heard in Vegas.

The wife and I were walking on the pedestrian bridge between Caesars and Bellagio after the Rod Stewart show. There was a young homeless man loudly calling out that he would let anyone kick him in the nuts for $20. We found this very upsetting. This young man is obviously in need of some serious mental health help. And anyone who would take him up on his offer, would be sicker than he is.
Wow! That's very sad!

I do wonder though if that's being used as a ploy to get people to have a lot of sympathy for him and then give him a lesser amount of $.

Maybe a ploy, but not so clever if someone actually takes him up on his original offer. I guess desperate times call for desperate measures ...

Did you notice the barrel of pecans in front of him?

It wasn't Clark Griswold, was it?
Sad
There was a photo on Facebook of 2 young guys holding large sign - maybe 3 ft x 2 ft which read, "Kick me in the nuts for $20.00"
They had big smiles and looked like college kids - I assumed it was a joke.

Did you try to bargain him down to $15?
Nope, it's serious. I saw a guy between Harrah's and Casino Royale doing that when I was there a few weeks ago.

I walked by just as a group of college goons crushed him and were howling about it... When I see videos of these idiots doing it as pranks, I laugh.

This; not so much. Like you, yo eleven, I found it upsetting this is what the guy has to resort to in order to survive.

And no, I'm not a bleeding heart liberal...
