There are social services and resources to keep anyone from having to resort to this. Anyone that resorts to this, or living on the streets/flood sewers does this because of mental and/or addiction problems.

He's counting on you feeling this way and giving him SOME money- not a twenty.... but there will be that group of guys (college kids) who'll take him up on it.. lets guess he'll bale and move on.
People, just because a sign says says something or someone is screaming it..doesn't mean it's true.

homeless and needing bus money!

and BTW,
of course if they are on the street, there are mental issues... News, this isn't.

........ probably is wearing some protective gear, then just acts out the pain.

That's what I was thinking. Kicking him wearing a tennis shoe might result in broken toes or broken bones in your foot if he's wearing a cast iron cup!

I walked up on something like this right after it happened. A bunch of thugs kicked this guy a few times then got excited like they had won something. However, after they walked off, the guy got up and walked away. He was ok and didnt even cringe. It looked like something out of the WWE. I would imagine he's used to this bit and realized he could make some money off dumb drunk tourists..
