Vow renewals

My husband & I will be in Vegas in September to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We'd like to renew our vows but want something fun and not too expensive. Any suggestions?
We did that about 4 years ago on our anniversary. We went to one of the chapels by the Strat. They sent a stretch limo to pick us up at our hotel. The price included the ceremony, limo ride to and from the hotel, flowers and a video and pictures. I think the cost was around 250. After the ceremony the limo driver to us for a cruise up and down the strip.
First and foremost, congratulations. 35 years of marriage is something amazing to celebrate.

Two friends of mine renewed their vows after 10 years a few years back. A few of us went out with them. We were all staying downtown, and they rented a limo from downtown to the Strat. They rented the chapel on, I think the 105th or 106th floor, then we went to the lounge on the top floor (not the restaurant, just the lounge) and had a few drinks.

I'm sure the chapel at the Strat wasn't cheap - I never asked. But we were there right when dusk came in and the lights started coming on. It was really nice for everyone.

Congratulations again.

What do you think is fun and what is inexpensive?

xan51090,

Ken, one question to you. After thirty years of marriage, if we do a vow renewal, can I re-negotiate the vows?
It may be more expensive than you were planning, but for beauty and great pictures, nothing beats renewing your vows at Valley of Fire just around sunset. There are a number of companys that do this. Las Vegas weddings is one of them. I have driven a number of wedding parties to this venue.

Thanks, rock.

As for your vows. Sure, you can change 'em daily. But you're married so on one else will listen!!
mckenztf - Thank you.

ken2v - We were looking at $250 or less. We'd like to do something a little cheesy (Elvis has been discussed) but not too over the top, and nothing that will involve too much prep time. Just something very casual that doesn't require any dressing up. We want this to be more fun and less formal than the first time.
How about drive-thru? Several places do it, but I love this newer facility, and in my interactions with them they seem on the up and up, and friendly. You could put some of that $$ toward a cool convertible rental!

Viva Las Vegas does corn like Iowa can't even do corn. And that's just fine. Kitsch is a huge part of the appeal of a Vegas wedding or renewal.

As Larry suggests, there are some cool "venues" that aren't venues, from Red Rock Canyon to Hoover. The cash register starts to roll in such circumstances. Most any chapel can make arrangements.

Let me know if you need more info or clarification.

Congrats!
From a man's point of view, I have never understood the need for vow renewals. Sounds more to me that someone is trying to make up for doing the other wrong.
