Walking distance between casinos and scooter rental questions.

A person in our group this year has a bad hip. We will be in town in a few months staying at the Bellagio. We are trying to encourage him to use these two + months to get in a little better shape to make his life easier when walking around.
Is there a detailed list of "true" walking distances between casinos available anywhere? When I say "true", I mean using foot bridges and indirect sidewalks. There seems to be plenty of options online, but they all seem to be provided by mapquest - straighline routes. We all know the walks are almost never done in a straight line.
Also, has anyone rented a motorized scooter in Vegas? How do you rent one? Are they delivered to your hotel for use or do you have to pick it up?

Before scooters were readily available I did a couple of trips on a walker and crutches. All walking distances are much father then they appear.

Now any hotel can have one waiting for you, just call ahead to reserve one. The hotels don't own them, they come from local rental companies. They also fold easily and fit in the trunk of rental cars and taxis.

Encourage your buddy to get back in shape and reserve the scooter anyway.

Bellagio itself entails a lot of inside walking.
Distance doesn't tell the whole story. Concrete, pavement, lights (standing/waiting), etc.
Rent the scooter.
Bring some pain pills.
Don't get too far from the hotel.

Electric scooter - wheelchairs are really hard to push on casino carpets - been there done that.

The electric scooters are great. My friend took her scooter to Vegas and we were able to go everywhere. Vegas is very scooter friendly.
