walking distance?

I'm planning to take the shuttle to Rio from the strip. Are Gold Coast, Palms, and Orleans within walking distance? Thanks.

The Orleans is not, the others are. Gold Coast is right next door to Rio. The Palms is across the street and to the west a little. Nice little walk, but not bad at all. The Orleans is much farther.

I have walked from the Orleans to those other hotels so it can be done. It's basically a bit more than the distance from Flamingo to Tropicana. I would not recommend it at night as there is not much foot traffic.

The triangle is the area of the RIO, Gold Coast, and Palms.

The Oleans is not...

The Gold Coast does have a free shuttle that will take you to the Orleans.

I walk GC to Orleans all the time.

You can walk into the Palms and use it as a cut through and it is the length of about two strip properties to walk from the Palms to the Orleans.

I walk over to the GC from Bellagio and Caesar's as well...that stuff is not an issue.

Rio to GC and Palms are a matter of crossing the street.

Outside of that it is a simple shuttle fro the Strip to the Rio or the GC and then a shuttle to the Orleans from the GC if you don't want to walk.

You can then shuttle right back to the Strip from the Olreans.

Seriously though, the Orleans is quite a long walk from the Palms. I would recommend a cab or the free shuttle from the Gold Coast.

Both Orleans and Palms are on Arville Street. Orleans is on the corner of Tropicana, Palms is on the corner of Flamingo. It's the same 1.0 mile length one would walk from Bellagio to NYNY, but with fewer pedestrians, pedestrian overpasses, and porn slappers to negotiate.

If one mile is too far to walk, I agree, find another way.

My suggestion is to take either the Rio shuttle and then go straight to Palms or GC, or the Coast shuttle to Orleans and GC, or, does the Palms still have their shuttle to the strip? Palms was my favorite joint for several years until they started moving the fpdw around and eventually out. It should still be back by the club entrance where the occasional hot, nearly naked, chick would saunter by. Loved the late night music there. Check out the 10 megabucks bank - I think they have about 5 meg winners on those, as the placards will attest. Take advantage of the slot play win card if the players club happens to be open.
