walking to mandalay bay from bally's

Last year we walked from Bally's to Mandalay Bay - taking the Bellagio side there and the MGM side back. I recall one way being quicker and more efficient - but for the life of me cannot remember which side is better! Any thoughts?

I would think the MGM side because of all the up and down stairs near Cosmopolitan

Yes I agree , the crystals mall on the other side it is a lot of up and down and around not walking friendly at all.

Are they still running a tram between Monte Carlo and Bellagio?

Take the free Bellagio Tram to Monte Carlo, walk across the street to Excalibur and take their tram to Mandalay Bay - unless of course you do want to walk along the Strip.

Seriously? By the time you walk from Bally's across the street to Bellagio, then to the back of the Bellagio, wait for the tram, take the ride to Monte Carlo, and then walk from the back of Monte Carlo back out to the strip, you might as well just walk the whole distance.

This is the same reason the monorail has been major failure for the most part. You spend more time walking to/from it that the ride itself takes.

just get yourself some kind of drink and walk. mgm side has walgreens corner. monte carlo side seems like straightest walk. take your time, stop at various places, and get there.

getting back if it's late taxi or whatever.
