Did you ever notice that when you try to set up an LVA meeting that 256 people look but no-one actually says yes?
Does this mean all those people looked at your post and said....."oh its him--screw that!" Why else would anyone be on that board and click on your post?

Maybe they are just curious as to who may be in LV when and to see if "enough" people are going to show up to it.

It might also be that people may want to vicariously live through others since they may be "Jonesing" very much to go to LV but that they can't get to LV for one reason or another but would still like to and also they may like to see the possibility of LVAers possibly getting together to see that people can have fun and/or interesting conversation while meeting up with others.

I've pondered why so many meets occur just before or just after my scheduled trips.

On occasion, the proposed dates may be close enough for me to check it out. If not matching up for me, I don't reply. If not even close, I don't click on the post.

I have never thought "oh its him--screw that!"

I enjoy reading new threads for the sake of reading them - including member meet threads.

For me, I find the forums are not as active as they use to be so I read more threads than I ever would have in the past, even if they don't pertain directly to me. I also like to read where people meet up and get ideas about my next trip. You never know where you'll find a "gem" of an idea in these forums.

I like to see who is meeting who and wish I could be there (and how big the meet is).
