What do you the day before you takeoff to Vegas?

It's 1:31 p.m.Thursday, 8/18, in beautiful Buffalo NY. Tommorrow at 6:15 pm, Im on SWA flight #314 to VEGAS. I havent packed a thing...probably because its gonna be hard to go to sleep tonite so I'll start packing then (although I've washed a ton of underwear). Or maybe I'll try to force myself to go to sleep right after the news and start packing tommorrow morning because I'll probably wake up early (you know just like Xmas time when I was a child).

Don't know if I'll go to the bank today and get mt VEGAS money out or wait till tommorrow (but what if the banks power goes out tommorrow and they dont open.) Maybe I'm better off getting it tonite.

Dollar express or Dollar Rapid check in at Dollar? Hmmm which 1 do I do?? I've been counting down the weeks since May 3rd and now I'm 28 hours and 40 mins away from takeoff.

Just wondering who else in LVA land has solved the 24HBVJ aka "24 Hours Before VEGAS Jitters"? And if you have solved it...then how do you handle it?

This trip will be similiar, yet a little different, than previous trips. Normally, I am all packed 2 day's before I go. The day before I get my hair and nails done. Go to the bank and get food for hubby. (He's not really into Vegas, so I always go with my friends).

However, I will be on 2 business trips right before I go. I return from my last trip late on the 15th, and have to go to work on the 16th. That gives me 2 day's to wash all my clothes and make sure I'm packed. Since the limo picks us up at my friends house at 4:30 am on Monday, I'm spending the night Sunday night at her house.

That's when the sleep deprevation starts!

We usually pack the morning of, 'cause we drive in. Flip in a couple bags, make sure the clubs are on board, toss together ice and suitable beers in a cooler, refresh the iPod, fuel the beast at Costco ... vroom, vroom.

My next trip is September 25th and my suitcase has been packed since August 1st!

I normally just hang around the house and relax the day before I leave.

I relax as much as possible, then pack the day of take off...11 days and counting!!!

There have been a few times that what I did the day before I flew to Vegas was, I bought the plane ticket! I'd check flight prices on a whim if I didn't have anything pressing to do for a few days, and sometimes I'd find a seat on a R/T flight the next day for $98. Lock that plane ticket in, then look for a place to stay. I owned and drove an Impulse for 14 years, and the name of that car was perfect for me!

I fly a minimum of 20 times a year for work, so prepping for a pre-planned Vegas trip isn't any different from any of those trips. Pack, drive to the airport, get hassled by security, then get on the plane.

I usually pack about 24 hours before the plane leaves, then I go on the LVA message boards and keep clicking on refresh so it constantly updates the countdown ticker until it says zero and I go screaming out the door headed for the airport!
