What's changed since 2007

I havn't been to Las Vegas since 2007. Since then there have been several new casino resorts opened. Encore, Palazzo, City Center and Cosmopolitan are all on my list to check out. What else has changed?
This was an interesting question? I had a hard time remembering 2007! I try to go at least once a year and it seems that their is always been changes.

I did find a website: vegasclick.com (timeline) that gives you all the changes!

Their are soooo many changes:

I miss the Stardust.
I hate how the fountainblue (a big unfinished eyesore) looks.
The Imperial Palace is now the QUAD
Downtown is forever changing (I think for the Better) Some name changes.
Mob Museum opened up downtown. (Have not been. . . . on my list to see)
The old lady luck is now the Grand (Also, on my list too see)
Town Square Mall is nice if you like to shop.

The first thing I love too do is when I get my rent a car is drive down the strip to say hello and see changes.

Have a Great Trip

Thanks for the reply, that is a great list I must add to mine. I think its a shame what happened to the Stardust, hopefully somebody will finish that project and do something with the FB, what an incredible waste of space, money.
Crowded, crowded, crowded. Christmas week...crowded inside and outside. Never have seen the likes of it. Hotel employees said they weren't expecting such crowds, slow service in restaurants, etc. Some said that mid-week Christmas had something to do with it.

The D downtown; it was Fitzgerald's. The big ferris wheel behind the Imperial Palace/Quad. No more Phantom of the Opera. City Center is essentially finished; Cosmopolitan, monorail, etc. Pedestrian bridges over the strip at Harmon. Hooters (I think, but it might have been there in '07). Bill's is under construction which requires detours for pedestrians.

[Sorry, Wiki says Hooters opened in 2006.]
Almost every resort has made large changes since 2007. There are new resorts,..but even the old resorts have revamped considerably: Plaza, gNugget, Stratosphere, TI, Caesars, Hooters, Riviera, Flamingo, Hilton, hard rock, lady luck, el cortez. And dont forget the new offstrip places like : m resort, aliente, south point

Vegas is totally different from 2007. Themes are out. Big rooms are in.
As for changes since 2007, on the Strip, Sahara is now gone and shortly a new hotel connected to the SLS chain will be opening on that spot.

With Downtown LV, there's now an actual Zip Line attraction that goes at least some way across Fremont Street in Downtown LV. Plaza has been renovated with furniture from Fountainbleu which never opened, and Las Vegas Club I'm pretty sure is not going to re-open their hotel (although I'm not absolutely sure about that -- I'd have to check).

Also, Gold Spike is no longer a casino but is still there.

The Fremont East section opened up with some bars and clubs (including one with old arcade games called "Insert Coins"). This is between Las Vegas Blvd. and El Cortez Casino which has also improved over the years.

And there is a nice walkway as you are going West between Las Vegas Blvd. and El Cortez -- just swing a bit left once you cross over Las Vegas Blvd. And I believe they have some kind of festivals there at times in that spot on some weekends if I'm remembering correctly.

And finally, I think Encore and Palazzo are new since 2007 (Encore is the second Steve Wynn owned hotel which is next to his Wynn Casino Hotel also is and Palazzo is the second Sheldon Adelson owned hotel which is next to his Venetian Casino Hotel).

I've gotten older?
In addition to all the casino changes downtown, the eastern section of Fremont St. beyond the canopy which use to be the sketchy part of downtown is now filled with some cool bars, most with live entertainment. Wort researching and checking out if you go downtown.
