Your First Vegas memories?

About 10 years ago.. my first trip w/ an ex.. No good memories of that..
However, a year later we took a boys trip Downtown.. I got a bad case of "HOLY CRAP IM HERE!!" and lost over $1500 in 12 hours. Thats was my entire bankroll + another entire bankroll (and another one)..
I was pissed and hungover and broke for 2 more days..

Couldnt wait to go back.. but with a better frame of mind.

Marko..
watching the sun come up playing craps on the street at the HO. or was it slots o fun? i had
the strawberry shortcake and margarita. never the HO-dog

drinking heinies in the Excal keno lounge at 4:00 am with people sleeping
in chairs next to me. this was after an afternoon at the Excal pool in my jean shorts!

oh. i only brought $200 with me. was broke in a day. my buddy bought me
the Bally's sunday brunch. it was below $50 then.

I also went and took the good hoover dam tour. golfed at some course on
the way back to vegas.

also, walked to and from the plane on the tarmac. it was a small airport back then.

2003 we were there only 5 days, fell in love with the city and knew we would be coming back, wanted to see a Big production show and stopped by the box office to see Siegfried and Roy, WOW! that's an expensive show! maybe next visit as our flight, food and room (1st trip) was at that time one of the most expensive vacations we had ever taken. We were getting ready to check out of our room Oct 4th watching local news that Roy Horn was attacked by one of the tigers and wasn't known if he would even survive.

McCarran was a major airport throughout the 1990s, with both Terminals 1 and 2 open, but it is true that not all gates used Jetways.

I'm absolutely sure that Craps on the street was at Slots-A-Fun. I was always amazed by that both as I was in that casino as well as when walking by it.

1990, spring break from nursing school; went with 18 y.o. boyfriend; He was only carded once and thrown out of the the Las Vegas Hilton; stayed at Circus Circus; walked the stip at night, with a drink in hand and was amazed at the drunk people passed out in the grassy areas along the sidewalk. Rode the dollar trolleys on the stip and took the bus downtown. Remember many nights walking a couple of blocks off Fremont, to the downtown bus station with lots of unsavory characters. Never felt scared, soooooo naive' back then. Glad I survived and am still a Vegas Adventurer

Bwahahahahahaha! Too Funny! Hope Granny loved the show!

Walking into my first Vegas hotel room which was the Riviera in the mid eightys. Everything in the room was red and the bed spread had a big "R" embroidered on it. Classy!!!!
Staying at the Tropicana or Luxor and carrying around buckets of quarters. We'd walk into every casino and drop $20.00 into a 2 quarter slot machine and then either scoop up our winnings or leave $20.00 poorer and move to the next casino.
