July 14, 2014 17:21 Feds Shut Down Illegal Betting Op at Caesars: Over the weekend, the FBI conducted a raid at Caesar Palace that shut down a multimillion-dollar illegal sports betting operation apparently run by high-ranking members of a massive Chinese Triad criminal syndicate who were were taking illegal bets on the World Cup. Eight arrests were made in Las Vegas and come in the wake of other recent similar busts in Macau. Caesars was not in any way implicated in the case, it's understood.
