Aliante Casino

Considering a gambling visit to Aliante Casino during my December visit to Las Vegas. Seems to be a long drive out to Aliante--so is VP that good. Also, is the LVA Buffet Coupon accepted.
My wife and I went in September and signed up. They have you pick a card on the screen and what ever is behind it you get in free play. The vp was ok. They did except the buffet coupon when we were there.
When they first became independent from Stations (Nov 2012), they had good VP and some great promotions. Now they have average VP and lousy promotions.

The physical property is very nice, sort of like Red Rock Station.
They have gradually begun pulling the good video poker. Only three over 100% machines left in quarters.

stations usually have half priced buffets throughout December for slot club members....i dont know if Aliante still runs that promotion since breaking away. I recall the buffet quality being mid-tier for a stations property when I ate there....which is to say better than Texas Station but not as good as Green Valley Ranch

you should make the trip to see it just to see it. Its a nice property even if the gaming is downgraded.
Thanks for the replies--still trying to decide if my time will be better spent at a another casino. However, do appreciate your insight.
