Amazing Red Rock deal

Having missed out 2012 trip to Las Vegas we are able to go the week after Christmas this year. Of course that means a 2 year absence, so no points left on any of our cards. Due to our timing I have been unable to locate any good deals on hotels, in fact it seems that prices are showing up a bit high for our dates (12/26 - 12/30). We had wanted to try the M Resort for our first stay but the rates seemed way to high for being that far out. I sent an email to the host supervisor asking for a casino rate but to date have had no response.

On a whim I got into our Stations account and low and behold there was an offer from Red Rock. In fact the only offer covering our dates. Checked out the offer and got 3 free nights with a $80 charge for the final night! Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. Booked the offer and got a confirmation so it must be real. Final cost; $89.60 all in including taxes and fees for four nights.

Sorry M, but unless you can match that offer or better we'll be staying at Red Rock. The rental car has unlimited mileage so the distance is not a big deal.

Can anyone think of a reason not to take this deal? We have enjoyed our visits there in the past, but have never stayed in their hotel. Is this deal too good to be true?
You will love it. The rooms are excellent and so is the gambling...much, much better than the M. Location is no big deal.
Thanks for the reply. We've always stopped in at least once or twice on our trips and have enjoyed the casino. We like the surrounding, but have never stayed in the hotel before. I was amazed at the deal when everything ilse closer to the strip is so expensive for our dates. We normally plan our trips at the end of the rodeo finals when prices and crowds are down. this year our dates are the only ones available to us.

We are not big money gamblers, but rather enjoy the low stakes tables and slots. As long as the slots are still loose enough to make the money last a reasonable time, "she" will be happy. I spend most of my time at the low stakes tables. Of course the room deal we received leaves more room in the budget for "play".
It sounds like a great deal. Keep in mind they will probably charge you a resort fee for the last night.

Thanks for the warning, but the confirmation indicated that it included all taxes and fees. Even if they do add their resort fee, it's still a bargain.
Thomas, ask for a room near the elevators or you could have a 10 minute walk from the elevators to your room. The hotel is curved so you can't see the end of the hall, it seems like you just keep walking and walking to get there. The rooms are really nice, you should enjoy them.

Thanks for the tip, I'll make sure to make that request

Red Rock is great, and their buffet is top notch - better in my opinion than Caesars Bacchanal.

However, we are currently boycotting Red Rock because on certain days, they give point multipliers to local residents but NOT to tourists -- EVEN NOT to those visitors who are at President or Chairman status.

To quote Stungazed -- "eff you" to red Rock and all other casinos for not including ALL PLAYERS in point multiplier days. Just imagine someone sitting next to you getting a better deal than you are getting.

No multiplier for us ---- We walked out.

Boyds also gives multiplier days to just locals besides those days where everyone is included.
I received a flyer in October and room rates for my dates after Christmas were okay--but not free. Then low and behold at the end of November I get another flyer and the same nights are now free--w/no resort fee. They must be hurting because I am a low roller and gave them about 2 hours penny play last Christmas. The rooms are wonderful, but you will get your walking in for sure. The coffee shop is also very good and their holiday baked goods are out of this world.
