sorry to hear about your experience captain bill but don't feel like the Lone Ranger.
we, too, were disappointed after eating at the angry butcher last week. thought the steak(s) were excellent but salad and side dishes plus cheesecake all subpar compared to billy bob's
prices have jumped, everything is ala carte. even though we had a gold card (with a $150 daily limit), the dinner (with two glasses of wine) cost $147
in checking out the next morning the front desk said we had gone over our daily limit by $7 or so. In addition to dinner, I had only eaten the buffet breakfast that day while the wife slept in. I was asked if we wanted to leave the added gold card charge on our credit card.
considering I had accumulated 43,000-plus base points in three days I said no, I wanted them to call the gm's office and asked for the $7 to be comped, too. LOL. After a brief call it was taken care of, but I thought the whole thing was pretty tacky.
re. other sam's town food options; the buffet has been mediocre for a long time, items are hit and miss. snack bar/deli is still very good (great burgers/onion rings); TGIF is well, TGIF, and the barbecue restaurant still hasn't opened. we were told it will open at some point in august.
we have been loyal to sam's town for many years. still many familiar faces work there, but get the feeling they are cutting corners on a lot of things.
