I completely agree. My daughter loved Mary's diner.Great mac and cheese plus strawberry milkshakes.Sam's is going in the same direction as the El Cortez, totally ruining their restaurant lineup.
Hell, I still remember Diamond Lil's,the upscale steakhouse that used to be at Sam's Town.
where on the strip is Sam's Town?
Sam's town is not anywhere on or near the Strip; it's located out east of the Strip on Boulder Hwy, next to the Eastside Cannery casino.

You do realize that Mary's Diner has been gone for about 15 years don't you? With that said it was my favorite there back in the day. Quick, easy and cheap!

Damn, diamond Lil's has been gone for close to 20 years!

Just reminiscing about some old favorites.

I was trying to remember how long I've been a regular at Sams and you just let me know. I don't remember Mary's diner, so must be around 14 years now.
I started visiting Sam's back when they first opened,in the spring of 1979.I even remember the old sports bar that was in the Atrium.I believe it was called Lucky Strike? They had great notchos.
I guess that makes us relative 'newcomers.' we first stayed overnight at st using a LVA coupon in Dec. 1998. And I still have the receipt to prove it LOL.
I also believe that was our first visit.
Remember Mary's Diner on the second floor, great milkshakes.
