Boyd Is Back!!!!

That is great news, now as long as they don't change there mind again before we arrive at the end of May. We also finally received our Suncoast offer in the mail and we were relieved that they did give us the 4 days free and $225 play and as stated online, but it also included $100 food allowance per stay. Far cry from the old offers of 3 nites per month, $100 a day in slot, $100 a day in food, but something is better then nothing. Strange tho just yesterday we received a call from BConnected after we voiced our thoughts on there website and were told there would be no food credit on this offer. How can they not know.

What kind of action and what games are you playing to get an offer like this?

I am (was) a long time Boyd gaming player that has (had) been Emerald for years but the changes, cut backs and stupidity has chased me away.

The reason I ask is because the last time I played at Suncoast we popped in, ran 10k through the machines and my offers are for B1G1 room nights with no additional perks. In the old days I would have gotten 3 nights, $100 food and $100 free play.

You don't even want to know what has happened to my offers at Gold Coast, Sam's Town and Main Street Station.

I bet the difference is we play slots 80% of the time and nickel deuces 20%. I think each stay we put on 20,000 points or so. We do play long hours and have a lot of machines that we know let us play w/o draining us. BTW with Suncoast our play was always was the same but they kept putting our offers at the beginning fairly low but the more we stayed there they kept increasing the offers. Extra comps were also easy to get with the hosts.

Very interesting wording.......so are non-locals not eligible for the cash drawing??? Very curious as we arrive a week from today.......

This might be premature. But I just logged into my B-Connected and the YAH stipulation of locals only has been dropped. I also saw this post on another site a few minutes ago. This post was a response someone got from Boyd...

"Hi Georgina ~ thank-you for contacting us. Based on Customer feedback, Boyd has decided to reinstate our Young At Heart promotion to all starting this Wednesday.

Have A great Day"

I will be there March 19-24 to verify.

We too will be there this next week....curious to see how this goes.....

The way I interpret it is that the downtown Boyd's (MSS, Cal, & Fremont) are for local's only. I got the official rules from Fremont's website;

Young At Heart Rules
1. The Promotion is valid at the following three (3) participating properties: Main Street Station, California and Fremont every Wednesday beginning March 1, 2017 through December 27, 2017. 2. Participants must be B Connected members and must be at least fifty (50) years of age. B Connected membership is free and available at the B Connected Club. Participants at the California, Main Street Station and Fremont must be local residents with an 890 or 891 zip code address. 3. Participants may earn a Mystery Point Multiplier (up to fifty (50) times points on Reels and up to ten (10) times points on Video Poker) each Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. during the Promotion at any of the three (3) participating properties. Participants must swipe at the kiosk prior to play in order to activate the point multiplier. 4. After earning ten (10) base slot points, participant may swipe at the kiosk for one (1) buy one (1), get one (1) free buffet voucher for breakfast, lunch or dinner valid on the Wednesday at the property the points are earned. California redemptions are available at the Main Street Station Garden Court Buffet only. The voucher must be redeemed at the buffet by 9:00 p.m. 5. After earning fifty (50) base slot points, participant may swipe at the kiosk to receive a free breakfast or lunch buffet voucher valid 24 hours at the property the points are earned. California redemptions are available at the Main Street Station Garden Court Buffet only. The kiosk voucher must be printed by 3:00 p.m. on the day earned. 6. After earning one hundred (100) base slot points, participant may swipe at the kiosk to receive a free dinner buffet voucher valid at the property the points are earned. California redemptions are available at the Main Street Station Garden Court Buffet only. The kiosk voucher must be printed and utilized till 9:00 p.m. on the day earned. 7. Slot points do not include point multipliers, bonus points, or point transfers. It is the player’s responsibility to make sure his or her valid B Connected card is properly inserted in the machine to earn slot points. 8. Promotional points are capped at 100,000 points per day on Video Poker and Reels at each property. Excluded machines will be marked to indicate that it is not valid for promotional multipliers. 9. Virtual Drawings will be held on Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. a. Fremont drawings will be held at the Players Club b. California & Main Street Station local guests may swipe at the kiosk the next day (Thursday) from 3:00 a.m. till 11:59 p.m. to see if they won. 10. Beginning at 7:00 a.m., participants must swipe their B Connected card at the kiosk to claim their one (1) free drawing entry into that day’s Young At Heart Drawing. Once the one (1) free drawing entry is claimed, the participant can then earn additional entries into that day’s Young At Heart Drawing. a. Slot machine players receive one (1) virtual entry for every twenty-five (25) base points. b. Table games will earn one (1) entry for every one (1)
As I'm thinking about all of this, I really think that the Boyd's promotions offered at the Downtown LV Casinos are being restricted to only LV residents because the Downtown Casinos would be what Boyd considers to be "overrun" by non-locals since Boyd caters heavily to Hawaiian customers, many of whom come there in addition to the possibly many Californian residents who could be partaking in this on top of people from elsewhere -- where it is less likely for that to happen at the other locals' casino locations.
I agree RecVP, that could be that exact reason. The times I stayed at California 90% of the guests were from Hawaii.

Thanks for the info. If you're slot players that would definitely make a difference in your offers compared to mine.

I'm still surprised that even with slot play they haven't cut the crap out of your offers though.
My wife gets the larger offer but even when I use my card for extra comps I still received 4 free notes and $60 free play and $20 in food
