Boyd rewards downgraded

Overall, I think that there are 4 types of visitors; (1) Those who don't care and will come no matter what, (2) Those who will come, bitching every step of the way, (3) Those, like myself, who will seek out all of the offers, discounts, comps and will continue to come WITHOUT bitching, and (4) Those who have quit coming, for whatever reason.  As long as those who belong to groups 1 and 2 keep coming to Vegas, nothing much will change until there is a recession and money gets tight.

Used to come 8=10 times a year, and stay for a week or more. I've come twice this year, staying a grand total of four nights. So none of David's overly simplistic characterizations apply to me.

5) Those whose visits to Vegas are drastically curtailed, and who express their dissatisfaction, which is the reason for their curtailed visits.

When David complains about something--and lordy lordy lordy, does he ever complain about SOOOOO many things--it's righteous and noble objections to terrible injustices. When somebody else complains--it's "bitching."

Since he's made over a dozen posts on the subject using the exact same term, what would you call that? I guess it's not "bitching." Or maybe it's just some really bitchin' bitching.

Is this considered "bitching" - or reality?  --Overall, I think that there are 4 types of visitors; (1) Those who don't care and will come no matter what, (2) Those who will come, bitching every step of the way, (3) Those, like myself, who will seek out all of the offers, discounts, comps and will continue to come WITHOUT bitching, and (4) Those who have quit coming, for whatever reason. I checked the offers on the Goldcoast website. It seems that they even cancelled the Young-at-Heart Day. It's been ridiculously little that they offered (10x points on slots, 5x on vp (2-per-1 point) and the bingo blue pack.   The point value was ok if you want at least a decent return for your play. But now it looks like this has also been cancelled completely. Unless they haven't updated their website correctly yet. Does anybody has verified info on that? From Switzerland / Boris

I emailed my host at a downtown Boyd location and she confirmed this morning that YAH  *IS* continuing in 2024 on Tuesdays.

Thanks for that info. The multiplier day is essential, although, the YAH used to be MUCH BETTER than it is these days. Not many people go and play Bingo, and no dining discount, but at least the point multiplier, which is better than nothing. Thanks again for double-checking with the property.

The YAH is definitely a shell of it's former self.  I don't even bother with the YAH except when we are in town to take advantage of the multiplier.  My wife and I would head over to the Orleans for gaming, movie and dining (enjoyed their buffet when it was around), back in the days before Covid.

Edso I am with you on that one. The original YAH was really a special day. And the Goldcoast was packed. The people gambled up all day you could see a lot of gaming action these days.

I still can't fight the feeling they are planning to remove that day or they simply forgot to put that on the "offers" page on their website. This is very unusual and some offers appear 2x when I click on it. It's either a bug or they forgot or they are perhaps still contemplating to eliminate that YAH day.

This is confirmation that the Tuesday YAH is continuing. The 10x points was on the kiosk at Suncoast for me today. If it matters, I am a local who has not gotten a Boyd mailer for several months.

Thanks for that info. So the marketing people must have forgotten to put the YAH advertisement this time but they managed to put endless worthless ads on the offers page, for example 2x the "best of Vegas" bla bla bla thing and how many food options you can consider as "offer" may be questionable at this time.
