BREAKING NEWS V/P

I, not more than 2 1/2 hours ago received an e-mail from V/P that gave me "three nights comped" and $50 in free play!!! I immediately called and tried to book the weekend of June 24 and 25, the same weekend of the Daisy Light Rave at Las Vegas Speedway (which they held at the LA Coliseum where a young girl od on Exstacy and were banned for four years?). Only to be told that it was sold out that weekend.... David a V/P room reservation host who was nice to talk to but had no clue and was a new hire and knew nothing about what was going on with the comped room situation. David said I could book another weekend but I declined and said thank you very much!

I than called Treasure Island which I had a two night comp, but they also said they were sold out! I than called Mandalay Bay first of the Mlife clan which I had a comp and low and behold I'm staying there for freeeeeee!

I think Sheldon "maybe" might have seen the light!!!

As we have all said "he will come around"! And guess what, HE DID!!!

Except for one tiny little problem. The offer comes with the disclaimer you must maintain your historical play!

As pointed out in another thread here it means that should you stiff them they can charge you the rack rate for the stay. I bet they want a credit card to hold the room/for incidentals. Easy for them to review play at check out and charge the card so be careful!

I posted this reply on the free side too.

With their track record of late, I don't know if I would trust them.

And why give them any play with the chance they may pull all of the comps again

when the convention business picks up again in Sept/Oct.

I think a lot of us were expecting this for the dead convention period that is summer.

My offer is for 3 free nights, Sunday to Thursday only, $225 in free play. NO FREE WEEKENDS. I will pass on this "generous offer" as I do not like to be used as a filler for slow days.

I will give my business to either MGM or Caesars where I can get comp rooms anytime.

I just got that one also.........its the First one that Says Comp.
But it also has their backdoor (can Charge you anyway) Wording, that I won't do.

Last year, and years prior, I Did have a certain Level I played there. Never had a worry about wording.

But, After all the downgrading, and pulling the rug out from us?
I Won't EVER be playing at That level again.

So if I took the Bait, and Took the Comp room & measly FP...........would they Charge me?
I'm Not going to find out.

Oh, I reveived a fabulous offer today by way of snail mail. The card said that "even if you're not staying with us you can still enjoy..."It then went on to offer $20 FSP or table voucher "just for showing up" and another $20 if I earn 2650 points that same day. Oh,I can visit all of their great restaurants/attractions, blah blah blah.Yeah right. A while ago I considered going in to use up the FSP already left on my card from the last time I stayed there.But, I decided against that as I did not want to be tempted to spend any of my own money. Now I'm glad I made that decision! I'll just stick w/CET,MGM or Stations where I can get comped rooms at any time thankyou very much V/P!!!

I got the three free nights, Sunday-Thursday with $100 freeplay offer...good through the end of August. Let's see if it sticks around for fall, when I might consider using it.
